Some easy ways to keep you hydrated this summer!
Taking in the adequate amount of water our bodies need is a tough thing for a lot of us, especially in the heat of the summer! It is recommended that the average person consumes 64 ounces of water a day. When one exercises or is in hotter weather, our bodies require more water to stay hydrated. Below are some tips on how to keep your body hydrated!
Try getting used to carrying a water bottle around with you wherever you go. This way, if it’s there and in site you’ll be reminded to take a sip every now and then. You can also add fruits to your water to make the taste more enjoyable. You can live up lemons, strawberries, oranges, the possibilities are endless! Make sure your diet consists of plenty of veggies and fruits. These foods are not only healthy for you, but they also contain water and help replenish the body. During the night, our bodies tend to get dehydrated. Try and make it a habit to drink a glass of water in the morning when you wake up to replace any water lost overnight. On hot days, stay hydrated by eat ice pops, frozen grapes or a nice cold glass of lemonade, anything that contains water counts!
